IPA Poland National Board Meeting in Opole

On 18th and 19th March 2022, the national board of IPA Poland held a spring meeting. This time, the Opole Voivodeship Group was the host, and welcomed the participants in the “Festival” Hotel in Opole.

During the 2-day meeting, the Polish IPA Section’s activities during the year 2021 were summarised, and the financial affairs of our Section were discussed in detail.

As part of the proceedings, a number of resolutions necessary for the proper functioning of our Section were adopted.

Four Voivodeship Groups (Śląsk, Mazowsze, Podkarpacie and Podlasie) were awarded with a diploma for outstanding activities in 2021.

Furthermore, activities concerning current and planned help for Ukraine in these harsh times, as well as preparations for celebrations of the 30th anniversary of our Section were discussed.

Our meeting was also an occasion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Opole Voivodeship Group.

On Friday, 18th March, a solemn gala was held in the Marshal’s Office in Opole, with members of the National Board, headed by the President of IPA Poland, the Chairman of the Opole Voivodeship Group, the Deputy Marshal of the Opole Voivodeship, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Opole, the First Deputy  of the Voivodeship Police Chief in Opole, representatives of the Opole Voivodeship Group, delegations from other national IPA Sections and invited guests.

The Chairperson of the Opole Voivodeship Group, Olga Gaida, received an engraved plate presented by the President of the Polish IPA Section, and three colleagues from the Opole Voivodeship Section were honoured with Polish IPA Section medals.
